So over the weekend I played a bunch of HQ.....definitely need som COGs to make that work. It is fun....with lots of blowing people up, but it seemed that I got on teams where capturing the objective took second place.

Overall, I probably broke even...20 some kills 20 some deaths....but the xp was around 7000+ everygame. I hit my first prestige and am up to level 25 already. Took 2 or 3 games to level up. If we can get a group going in HQ, we could do some damage.

I played one game of HQ yesterday and I leveled in that one game. Great XP.

We could do some damage for sure....and I agree, going into HQ alone can be tough. Especially when half the people on your team could care less about the objective.

Hey Scotty, about getting hardline pro. The best way to go about it is to set up 3,4,5 killstreaks (2,3,4 with hardline).
If you just kept doing 2 at a time forthe spyplane you would need 14 kills.
When you get KS at 2,3 and 4 it works out to just 10.
So to get them all each time you need 4, so getting 4 kills twice will give you 6 KS rewards and the you just need another 2 to get the seventh.
If you're planning on doing it this way, just call your spyplane right away and that will help with the next two kills. Then make sure you die right away so you can start over. Toss your grenades and C4 or set your claymores and work on it again.

If you go into the match with a plan to do that, then you should be able to reach it ok. I use hardline most of the time and 2,3,4 killstreaks. Often inthe end of match stats it shows that I've gotten 8 killstreak rewards, without even trying to do so. I just know that forthe most part I'm not going to get more than that without dying. Being able to re-roll the SAM and CP helps me to get the occasional big killstreak rewards. Gunship last night, and dogs the night before.

I haven't tried HQ yet on black ops. Is marathon pretty much a must for this gametype?

I don't think you need Marathon, but Flak Jacket wouldn't be a bad idea. That would help with all the grenades and claymores...Also, I would throw Hacker on!

If my kids would go to bed cooperatively I would be able to play a lot more than I get to. At the rate. I'm playing now I may never reach level 50...LOL

Yes, Flak Jacket. Marathon might be ok, but only because if you die, you spawn 14 miles away from the target and getting back seems to take forever. Although, if I'd just take my time a little, maybe I wouldn't have a 5 death streak on my way back.

Ha ha...sooo true!! Why did I spawn on the complete opposite side of the map....lol

Hacker-pro.

I've tried a bunch of different combo's and I have to say that in my opinion these are the strongest perks for those who want to play aggressively. I don't remember the last time I was killed by a claymore, and hacking sentry guns/turrets have gained me so many kills/points. But when you know you're near an enemy, you have to walk crouched which quiets your foot steps.

Killstreaks ... I vary this between:
UAV
Napalm
Attack Helicopter
Blackbird
Chopper Gunner
Attack Dogs

I haven't played BO in over a week...picked up RDR and I'm hooked!

So I started playing this game again about 4 or 5 days ago and I'm liking it!

Haven't prestiged even once yet, but that's ok! Here's my current favorites of everything:

Weapons: Famas w/ Reflex or MP5 w/ Reflex for smaller maps e.g. Nuketown, Firing Range
Commando w/ Suppressor, Stoner63 w/ Red Dot and Ext Mags for medium and large maps

Perks: Hacker, Sleight of Hand, Hardline.....to be honest, I don't how useful the others are.

Maps: Array, Summit, Firing Range, Jungle and Havana

Killstreak Rewards: Spyplane, Care Package, Cobra...I just like the simplicity of the 3, 5, 7 set-up.

Playing mostly TDM and Domination....might start playing Search and Destroy and Hardcore TDM.

Now that I've finally leveled up high enough again I've changed my setup a little and so for its working great for me.
Right now I use...

Spectre - reflex sight & extended mags.... sometimes I still go back to the Famas w/ reflex/suppresor
secondary - Strella (I like taking down the air support)
Hardline Pro
Warlord Pro
Ninja

RCXD
Care Package
Attack Helicopter

Not allot of people seem to use the Spectre but I find it very accurate and powerfull and it works well for me, especially withthe reflex site to help me hit the target. Actually I find myself using the reflex on everything now because I just need to see that dot. lol
Another thing with the Spectre is that you don't need to add rapid fire to it as it shoots plenty fast on its own. But I don't find the extended mags usefull because I'm such a bad shot that it helps to have the extra bullets as I "find" the target.... although my aim is improving allot.

I've found a new favorite SMG and a set-up to go with it!

Perks: Scavenger Pro, Slight of Hand Pro, Hacker Pro or Marathon

MPL w/ Rapid Fire(I add the grip w/ Warlord Pro)
Secondary: any pistol, except for the Python(just a personal preference, don't care for the Python at all)
Concussion grenade
Semtex
Claymore

I seem to do very well with this gun on any medium to small sized maps. Having Scavenger helps with going through ammo fast.
