Now I've recently been trying the Hardened perk but I can't say as if I've really notice a difference so I'll be switching everything back to slight of hand because I need it so I bring up the sights quicker, I'm still trying to learn to hip fire more. Basically I'm trying to force myself to do it.

But I think I finally figured out my key to mastering these shooter games...
I need to use a gun that is fully automatic and shoots 1 million bullets per second.... oh and those are exploding, heat seeking bullets that explode as soon as they get "near" the target.
Or a fully automatic noob toob with unlimited ammo.
Should be no problem then.
I just need to unlock them.... from somewhere.

Actually I'm already allot better at BO than I ever was at MW2.

I tried that little mini game and it's pretty fun actually, I've played it a few times since then.
I also tried the local matches and honestly didn't really notice a difference but that could have just been me.
Still having loads of fun with Black Ops.... just wish I could manage to level up a little faster.
Speaking of which is there a trick to that? In other words, beyond kills what earns good XP?

I'll be on tonight (probably this afternoon to) for sure if anyone wants to team up. I'd really like to try some of those "special" matches (gun & one in the chamber) if anyone is interested.
I think those are only available in private???

Best FPS I have ever played, hands down. It took MW2, which I really enjoyed, and made the multiplayer enjoyable for me too, Sheer awesomeness.

Hey guys, how are you all?? Let me start off by saying that BLACK OPS IS AWESOME!!!

Let's break it down:

Weapons: currently liking the Stoner(LMG), AUG, Famas, and Enfield for assault rifles.
I use the SMGs but I really don't have a favorite....yet!

Perks: I have 2 main set-ups as so: Scavenger, Sleight of Hand, Marathon
: Scavenger, Warlord Pro, Ninja

Maps: Honestly guys, I like all the maps.

Right now I'm working to get the Commando, but I mainly switch between the AUG and the AK47. I was working with the FN-FAL, but I have to get used to 3 round burst.

As far as equipment goes, I've been using the Claymores. I bought the C4, but I've not been happy with it. I need more practice with it.

Update for my recent trial of AK74 with two attachments.

I saw someone with AK74 with grip and rapid fire so I tried to use those.
It turned out it's a beast...
The class for this,
AK74u + grip and rapid fire
Stellar
Grenade, Flash, Claymore
Hardline, Warload, Hacker

The gun is so powerful with those attachments, I felt like I was cheating.
Hardline is also an interesting perk.
Once you get pro then you can change the content of your care packages(sam turret and sentry gun too, this might be glitch?)
(Most difficult part to unlock the pro is to share 10 crates with teammate, cause many
players didn't bother somebody else's care package, lol.)
However, I didn't like the fact that I'm visible on the map all the time,
nor the sound of the gun without silencer.
Anyway, it's fun to try this....

Treyarch is supposedly patching the Hardline glitch to make it so the only drop that can be rerolled is the Care Package. The new patch is soon to be released. My current favorite perks are Hardline, Warlord Pro and Hacker.....still working to get Hardline and Hacker Pro. Current favrote weapon is the MPL with suppressor and grip.

The way you guys are talking about the grip, I think I'm going to drop the Red Dot and pick it up. I feel like I need a silenced weapon, but then again, if my gun kills em quick enough, they won't know what hit em.

That's why I go with Warlord....I can have the grip and the supressor or whatever 2 attachments, except for the grenade launcher...NOT ALLOWED ON WARLORD WEAPONS...YAY!! Plus once you get Warlord Pro, every time you spawn, you are equipped with 2 tactical and 2 lethal grenades. Semtex Rules!

Hows the recoil on the AK47 once the grip is attached?
Given that I'm typically not the best shot I tend to stay away from the guns with allot of recoil which often then limits me to less powerfull weapons. I tried the AK47 without the grip and just couldn't control it.

In my opinion a grip or suppressor is the only way to go...both reduce recoil. I also like using extended mags with grip or suppressor.

I always use a suppressor, does using both reduce it even more?

I assume that it would...we should test it out!

I think my interest in the CoD series is fading....FAST! I'm just not enjoying it like I used to.

Looking at another game? I should have Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare in this week sometime. We can do free roam! Also, another game that I am looking at is DC Universe Online. If you are a PSN + member and you haven't tried the beta, things like this are why PSN + is worth it. I cna't talk about it, due to the Non Disclosure Agreement, but just know that I am thankful for PSN +. But, back to Black Ops, since I don't want to steal an entire topic. Are you just getting bored with it? Is there anything we can do to make the experience better?

I'm gonna try to pick up Red Dead on my way home. Is the Undead thing a DLC? If so, do you know how much it is?

After the recent issues with getting into a MP game, I haven't even put the game in. I will try to get it dialed in this weekend...I am still in the mood to play the game. I did put Red Dead Redeption in...but haven't tried the Undead yet.

Actually as I type this, I got the urge to play some Black Ops. Man, I hope I can get it going this weekend.

There still are a lot of connection/ lag issues. We noticed that it warns you now if someone in your party doesnt have an open NAT and tells you that the connection may not be as good. Mine has always been open, but one of my friends didn't have an open NAT and it was really noticeable.
Try to make sure you have an open NAT in order to reduce the issues as much as possible, but hopefully Treyarch will get it figured out.

I haven't played Bops for about week cause every night I had to help my wife to
wrap all the holiday gifts....
I heard the recent patch caused more issues than before.
I wish all network connection issues are fixed for the Holiday....Amen....

i agree it was pretty bad today. on another note i have been using the motion detector lately and it is really good i recommend it.

Been back to playing BO for a couple days now...I think I like it again! Lol

Do any of you know if this Dbl Xp thing is for all platforms? Apparently its on from the 4th thru the 6th. Is it for XBL only? I hope not, I might finally prestige...lol

It's for all platforms. I prestiged again last night. Then I was kicking myself because I couldn't get used to the guns available. Darn double xp! Oh well, it should go quickly, I just need to get to the FAMAS.

Well, I didn't hit prestige yet...I ended up being WAY too busy. I got a few games in Saturday morning but that was it for the DBL XP

Hope we get it again when First Strike is released!

Speaking of that, anybody know when the PS3 gets the new maps?
