NAT type issue

Post  jamie-n-scottyG on Sat 19 Feb - 0:00:44

How do I get two PS3s to both have an open NAT type? Currently one is open, the other is strict. Anyone know how to address this?

Do u have both of your ps3's IP addresses entered into your router? I know i had to do this to get my NAT type from moderate to open... and now i have to do it again, the new update knocked me back to mod. for some reason

No, I don't. How would I do that? I'm not much of a tech wiz, is this something I can do from my laptop? Or who would I contact to help me, my ISP, router company or Sony?

type CMD in your start menu search, when that opens up, type ipconfig, it should show your IP address, type that into your internet search bar to get into your router, in there u should see an option for "port forwarding" and "DMZ" I think all u need to do is put your ps3's IP address into your modem manually (but don't just go off of what I said to do, different routers take different steps, u can most likely find a youtube video showing step by step instructions) u WILL need to either forward ports, or put the ps3 in a DMZ though
